The famous international violinist Aisha Sydes visit YES Movement

YES Movement had the honor of hosting at its principal location one of the most important and prominent violinist figures of the modern world. She utilizes her ability and her virtue, both of which are fruits of a consecrated career to her instrument, to communicate the artistic beauty of academic music.

Her life experiences impart deep spiritual values to each and every person that has the privilege of interacting with this marvelous artist.

Aisha Sydes’ visit to YES was full of different emotions. To begin, the young female violinist Shadai Castro presented an interpretation of the beautiful melody, Ode to Joy by Beethoven. We were able to recognize the beautiful job done by the choir of bells, as well as the discipline in piano and the presentation of the symphonic orchestra that defines YES Movement. All of which were conducted by its founder, professor Cesar Rangel.

Aisha dazzled us all after performing with her instrument an interpretation of Bach. She also shared advice with the entire audience, encouraging each young artist of YES Movement to be dedicated and hardworking in both their academic and musical studies. In addition, she invited all of the parents to be inexhaustible sponsors to their children the way her mom was for her, the artist comments.

One of the most exciting moments was witnessing Aisha and professor Cesar Rangel interpret the concert for violin and oboe by J.S. Bach; whom with their example were able to touch the hearts of everyone present

For Aisha the work done at YES Movement is essentially transforming and she gave encouraging words to the entire YES staff for the important social work they accomplish through music. The evening ended with the YES Movement orchestra interpreting Ode to Joy and the overture by William Tell; where Aisha, with the humility she is characterized by, proceeded to sit down with the kids and perform among the first chair violins.

YES Movement named Aisha Syde one of their ambassadors to spread the valuable and immense work that this project, exclusive to the city of Miami, accomplishes with its students through music.

YES (Youth Enlightenment System) has a Symphonic Orchestra!

Mayor Peggy Bell inaugurated the Children’s and Youth Symphony Orchestra of the YES Movement.

On the night of December 17, 2016,  Mayor Peggy Bell , in representation of the community government body, symbolically “cut the inaugural tape”,  and after addressing those present with heartfelt and encouraging words,  enjoyed the concert where the youth/children of YES Movement showcased  their musical talents and  development.

YES - Youth Enlightenment System/Community Connexion is a non-profit organization that is currently serving more than 230 children and youth by imparting high social values in the classrooms. Participants are learning how to read a pentagram, sing, play an instrument, and become part of a symphonic orchestra.

In addition, our participants learn responsibility, teamwork, respect, discipline and order, in addition to acquiring a professional musical development that will provide future scholarships and open world-wide doors for them.

This program not only transforms children and youth, but because of the values it imparts, it reaches families and the surrounding social realm where the children/youth are being developed.  This reality encourages us to envision a YES headquarters in every city of this great nation!

Its musical director and founder, Cesar Rangel, is convinced that we must believe in future generations – children and youth being formed to be brilliant citizens that will impact and influence our nation.

At the YES Movement campus, located at 19000 SW 112 Ave., Miami, FL 33157, we serve children/youth ages – 4-20 that come from a diversity of countries encompassing our multi-cultural city. The program is free of charge and offered after school three times a week.

YES operates thanks to the support of Community Connexion, and its founder Dr. Doris Machin who works with an extraordinary team of volunteer directors, teachers and staff..

For 2017, we face new challenges such as:  expanding the symphonic orchestra, consolidating the symphonic choir, and conducting several community concert events in order to reach more children/youth and provide opportunities for enrollment in the program.
